Don’t Drink … Play!

[ English ]

If you like to have a drink occasionally, keep your money out of the casino if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Empty your evening bag, your billfold, and keep all cash, plastic credit and checks back at the hotel. Take only the money you anticipate to use on drinks, tipping and whatever pocket change you intend to burn and leave the remainder behind.

Pessimistic? Not really. Realistic more like. You may well experience a profit after a drunken evening out with your acquaintances and be lucky enough to hit a 25 minute roll at a hot craps game. Keep that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually consume alcohol and gamble. The pair just don’t mix.

Keeping your moolah at home might be a little bit drastic, but defensive actions for excessive actions is required. If you wager to profit, then don’t drink alcohol and play. If you are able to afford to be wasteful with your money nary a concern, then consume all the no charge booze your stomach can handle, but don’t take charge cards and cheques to toss into the mix of going after losses after your inebriated brain throws away every little thing!

Permit me to take this 1 step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then head on to the internet to gamble in your favorite casino either. I love to beverage from the comfort of my condominium, however because I am hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and have charge cards at my fingertips, I can’t consume alcohol and gamble.

What’s the reason? Although I don’t consume alcohol to excess, once I drink alcohol, it is clearly adequate to cloud my judgment. I gamble, so I don’t drink alcohol when gambling. If you are a drinker, don’t wager when you do. Both create a decimating, and crazy, cocktail.
